A BIT ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Anika Samantha Perera (Awh-Nih-Kah, Sam-An-Tha, Puh-Reh-Rah), as you may have realized from the title of this website. I am an aspiring actress/director who has a love of all things in the entertainment business. If I could be on a set for the rest of my life I would be seriously happy.

I was born and raised in Aliso Viejo, California. I was forced into theatre as a ploy by my mom to get me out of my bubble, little did she know it would lead to me finding my passion in life. In 2019, I got into my dream school, NYU Tisch, and studied in the Experimental Theatre Wing. Things got a little bumpy when Covid hit- as I'm sure it did for you. That’s when I found myself back in California, using the time to focus on my mental health as well as taking as many naps as I possibly could. I eventually found my way back to New York and did a semester at Stonestreet Studios where I developed my love for on-screen acting. In 2022, I did my spring semester in London where I studied Directing at the National Television and Film School in Beaconsfield (you get extra points if you know where that is).

Now I'm back in Orange County, California with a BFA in Theatre and a Minor in The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, creating and developing my skills in Acting, Directing, and Teaching.
